About the Club:
The FC Copenhagen is a professional football club based in the capital city of Denmark, Kopenhagen. Founded in 1992, the club is the result of a merger between two local clubs, Kjøbenhavns Boldklub and Boldklubben 1903. They are also known by their nickname Løverne (The Lions) and play their home matches at the Telia Parken Stadium, which has a capacity of over 38,000 spectators.
The club has a rich history, with their first major success coming in the 1999-2000 season when they won the Danish Superliga for the first time. This was followed by two more consecutive titles in the following seasons. In 2006, they made history by becoming the first Danish club to reach the group stages of the UEFA Champions League. They have also won the Danish Cup 8 times, with the most recent victory in 2019.
