SV Grödig : FC Wacker Innsbruck

On the way home from Germany to Linz we wanted to catch the game Grödig : Innsbruck from the Austrian 2nd division. Due to various circumstances (small detour to Linz a. Rhein and a traffic jam on the motorway), however, prevented us from arriving on time.

So we only got to the game at the beginning of the 2nd half. Unfortunately, all 5 goals of the game were scored in half time 1 - so we didn't get to see much ;-)

The stadium is located in the nowhere in the middle of a field. It has a long stand, while the rest of the spectators are (almost) right next to the pitch. For the television broadcasts, an extra tower has been built which, proverbially speaking, looks quite "Russian".

So the only highlight was an alcohol check when leaving the stadium. All travellers from outside the stadium should therefore be warned: Without a Salzburg licence plate in Grödig => police control ;-)
